We just returned from an out-of-town trip to find your package. Your book is very user friendly. It provides all the information one needs to have easy success with Tabman’s Pendulum. Your crystal pendulum is really great! I like it much better than any I have used over the past forty years. The gold chained pendulum is also neatly packaged in an appropriate velvet bag. Tabman wands are hand made in our shop here in Pennsylvania from the King of American Hardwoods, Black Walnut. Black Walnut is considered by wood experts to be on the same par as the world's most exotic hard woods. Most of the Walnut trees in America were cut down in the 1960s to feed the demand from the nation's furniture makers making Black Walnut a desired and much sought after wood. It's a beautiful tight grained dark wood that resembles Indian rosewood. The brass tip ferrules are hand made here in the shop too on our Unimat mini machine lathe and polished to a soft, bright luster and hand rubbed with Antique Oils before leaving the shop.
I love the Okito styled wand. There used to be a kindly old gent in Nashville who owned one of the world's finest collections of rare and unusual magic posters, wands, books, photos, everything you can imagine short of large illusions. Well, he had in his collection a wand that Okito made for himself and it had the third ring positioned like the one you have. The stick was more slender but about the same length. The Okito wand I make is a commemorative wand celebrating the magic craft of Okito. I have drawn some of my inspiration from some of his philosophy on building magic wands and other apparatus.

Tabman has been making magician's wands for many years and in the late 1980s in recognition of his work, Tabman succeeded John Gaughan as the wand maker for the International Brotherhood of Magicians and made the retiring president's special boxed award wand and the Gold Cups Awards for many years before retiring from the job.
Many magicians around the world both use and appreciate Tabman Traditional Wands. Steven's Magic Emporium, Tannen's, Hollywood Magic, Daytona Magic and many other dealers around the world sold hundreds of my wands for $35 to $40 each but I am producing these wands now at a much lower price hoping to get one of my wands into as many magician's hands as is humanly possible before my run here on earth is done.

It was 1991. Max Maven suggested to me that T.A. Waters, the Magic Castle librarian would like to meet with me while I was in California visiting the Castle. I was to come to the side door behind the Castle in the alley around 2pm and knock.
I was there on time. Max Maven himself opened the door and I followed him into the Magic Castle library to meet T.A. for the first time. I felt like I knew him already having been a follower of his electic magic for many years.
